There are celebrities and then there are celebrity gossip celebrities: the ones who are famous for being famous (or even infamous). Kim Kardashian is a case in point. Every action by her seems orchestrated for the celebrity gossip rags, each one more tabloid fodder than the last. This time, though, even she would perhaps be uneasy over the attention her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries is receiving from the celebrity gossip tabloids.

In fresh news to emerge from the ashes of her 72-day broken marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries—a union that had set tongues wagging in celebrity gossip circles—it turns out that Humphries just isn’t interested in any money whatsoever from a possible settlement.

Sources have revealed to certain celebrity gossip sites that there have been informal settlement talks between the legal teams of the two celebrities.

Humphries’ team has clarified that Kris doesn’t want a penny from Kim, and that the only contention from his end is that the marriage was a fraud. Sources have also revealed that a compromise on that point is unlikely as Kim is only willing to state that the marriage didn’t work out.

Celebrity Gossip: ‘Leaked Backstage Footage’ Strengthens ‘Fraud’ Claim, say Team Humphries Lawyers

Humphries’ legal team wants to study the video footage from the reality show Kourtney & Kim. This footage is of an emotionally charged talk, purportedly backstage on Kourtney & Kim, between Kim and her mother about the ‘failing marriage’. The lawyers representing Humphries are not claiming that this so called heart-to-heart was staged and actually happened in December on soundstage, not October as suggested. If true, his strengthens Kris’ claim about the marriage being a ‘fraud’.
In the “slice-of-life” scene that was allegedly leaked (as if it wasn’t meant to be seen!), Kim is telling her mother about how the marriage isn’t going as planned and asking her advice. Sounds touching, but the writers at this celebrity gossip blog aren’t sure what to think when news emerges that Kim and her mother emerged from a Hollywood TV studio wearing the same outfit and hairstyle as seen on the video.

Kim is Unperturbed by Celebrity Gossip Reports about ‘Fake Video’

Kim looked remarkably unruffled by Kris’s claims last night as she arrived looking happy and relaxed to take a flight out of LAX.

Wearing shiny black leggings, flip flops and a black blazer, the star looked fashionable.

Humphries has cited fraud as the official response to Kim’s divorce petition and is seeking an annulment instead. To that end, he wants his estranged wife, her mother and the show staff to be questioned by his lawyer regarding the aforementioned, allegedly fake conversation Kim had with her mother.

Kris feels that proving the whole conversation to be faked would lend credibility his own contention of being married to Kim under fraudulent circumstances.

Meanwhile, Kim wants her divorce petition heard by a mediator.

She’s reportedly keen to have her marriage to 26-year-old NBA star Humphries legally ended as soon as possible and plans to request that the proceedings are held in private. The latter is routine practice in California, since it’s a no-fault state.

His film I am Number Four fared well at the B.O. even though it wasn’t very highly regarded by critics. His later release Beastly, a modern retelling of the classic fairytale Beauty and the Beast is another commercial success that was critically panned. In both of these, however, Pettyfer’s performance has been appreciated. With his third movie for the year, In Time (aka Now) lined up for a late October release, this is turning out to be quite a year for Alex Pettyfer. Not to mention that his looks have made him quite the darling of various entertainment news periodicals.

Entertainment News: Chris Hemsworth

Hemsworth was noted and widely appreciated when he played Captain Kirk’s father in the 2009 film Star Trek. His breakout role, and one which has really made him famous, didn’t come till he starred in and as Thor in 2011. A critical and commercial success, Hemsworth in Thor has also set high standards for his reprisal of the role in the highly-anticipated 2012 release The Avengers. Outside of his armor and cape superhero escapades, two of his long delayed releases, Red Dawn (remake of the 1984 film) and The Cabin in the Woods are also lined up for 2012.

Entertainment News: Anton Yelchin

Anton Yelchin has been around for quite a while, but his has been a case of slowly gradually into a finer actor as the spotlight steadily grows. Starting off as a child actor, he has finally begun to come of age as a performer. His first release of 2011, Like Crazy went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival; from then on, the year only got busier for young Yelchin. He starred in Jodie Foster’s Beaver, horror-comedy remake Fright Night, had a voice-role in the highly anticipated animated comedy Smurfs. Seeing as he’s also set to reprise his role as Pavel Chekov in the Star Trek sequel, as reported by several entertainment news publications, things can only get better from here for Anton Yelchin.

Entertainment News: Henry Cavill

Henry Cavill being cast as Superman in Zach Snyder’s Man of Steel has received a decidedly mixed reaction, from movie industry insiders and neutral observers alike. While some admired his work in The Tudors and considered him as having the right physique, there were quite a few who doubted if he could measure up to the actors who’ve donned the red cape in the past. For that matter, there were also those who’d prefer any of the other probables over Cavill to fill in the red boots. That movie, however, is not set for release till 2013. After being suitably impressed by his range of histrionic talent as seen in 2009′s Blood Creek and Whatever Works, we shall be watching out for the man in the year-end release Immortals co-starring Mickey Rourke and Freida Pinto.

Is Jennifer single Again??? This the most common question that can be heard after Jennifer herself has declared that she is getting separate from Marc, her third husband, after seven years of their marriage.

Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, were married secretly on June 5, 2004 at her home in Beverly Hills, California and have two children together, twins Max and Emme.
After her first marriage to Ojani Noa in 1997, and again in 2001 to her backup dancer Cris Judd, this will be Jennifer’s THIRD divorce whereas for Marc’s it will be his second divorce.

News of Lopez and Anthony’s split was announced late Friday, when the couple issued a joint statement.
The couple just released a statement, claiming, “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”

So what next for the couple???
The couple will be working jointly in another program, South American talent competition Q’Viva (“The Chosen”). And, both Lopez and Anthony will both be on board when the show begins taping in the fall.

Paris Hilton, whose career has been eclipsed in recent years by her legal troubles, is in the mid of a legal spat again, this time she is being sued for breach of contract by a hair extension company.

HairTech International, a global beauty company specializing in new hair technologies, haircare and personal care products, said it signed a deal with the American socialite back in 2007, requiring her to promote a line of their hair extensions.

The company claims they gave the 29-year-old heiress to the Hilton hotel fortune $3.5 million to become the face of their DreamCatchers range of clip-in locks.

Hilton tangled in hair extension lawsuit
HairTech is now suing Hilton for breach of contract, accusing her of wearing a rival company’s product.The company is suing the socialite for a hefty $35 million in damages, for fraud and deceit, unjust enrichment and breach of contract, among other things.

The company also alleges Hilton lost them $6.6 million in costs, revenue and brand-building by failing to appear at a launch party for the product in June 2007 because she was in slammer for DUI.

Infringes contract by wearing rival company’s hair
In their lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the hair extension maker alleges Hilton violated the multi-million contract by appearing “in magazines and on television not wearing (their) hair extensions and was in fact wearing competitors’ hair extension products.

The fraud and breach-of-contract suit accuses Hilton of damaging the brand following her 2007 stint in jail for driving while on probation for a drink-driving charge.

The company also alleges Hilton lost them $6.6 million in costs, revenue and brand-building by failing to appear at a launch party for the product in June 2007 because she was in slammer for DUI.

The lawsuit, which also names her dad, Rick Hilton, as well as Paris Hilton Enterprises, as a defendant, states, “Paris Hilton is an individual celebrity who committed fraud and deceit as well as breaching all agreements by failing to abide by the law, failing to do appearances, failing to wear the Plaintiff’s hair extensions or otherwise fulfill her end of the agreements despite being paid in excess of approximately $3,500,000 in licensing and endorsement fees.”

Hilton’s life in the media
Hilton, the daughter of real estate magnate Rick Hilton and great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, is best known for starring in a fish-out-of-water reality show called ‘The Simple Life’ with a fellow heiress Nicole Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie.

The life of the damsel has been in media spotlight ever since she entered the entertainment industry and subjected to criticism for her hard-partying lifestyle by almost everyone.

In November 2003, Hilton came in the headlines when a home video of her cavorting with her then-boyfriend Rick Solomon was published online.

Labeled as the ‘Party Girl,’ Hilton has been involved in a number of legal cases. A Los Angeles party planner had accused her of bombarding him with angry phone calls, shoving him and threatening his life.

In June 2006, Hilton had a fender-bender accident when her Range Rover backed into a car in a parking garage after a shopping trip. Recently, she was questioned by police in South Africa after a member of her entourage was caught smoking pot at a soccer game.

Country music star Taylor Swift edge out pop singer Justin Bieber to become the 2010 inductee into the Celebrity Bowling Hall of Fame.

Swift earned 613,324 of the nearly 1.3 million votes cast during the past month, Bieber finished with 608,015 votes.

“In many ways Taylor Swift perfectly represents the current face of bowling, especially as the sport enjoys unprecedented growth in popularity among youth, women and young adults,” said Bowling Proprietors Association of America Executive Director Steve Johnson. “While we are grateful to Justin Bieber and all of our candidates for their enthusiasm for our great sport, we are tremendously proud to welcome Ms. Swift as our celebrity inductee into the Hall of Fame and we extend our deepest congratulations to her and the hundreds of thousands of fans who cast votes on her behalf.”

Actor-comedian Bill Murray was third in the balloting with 21,451 votes. He was followed by actor Jeff Bridges (14,754), actress Pauley Perrette (9,472), reality star Kim Kardashian (3,628), basketball standouts Dwight Howard (779) and Chris Paul (663) and comedian Jimmy Fallon (623).

This was the first time fans determined the inductee with votes received from all 50 states and 113 countries. Previous inductees were former football stars Jerome Bettis and Lynn Swann, former baseball pitcher Tom Candiotti and legendary broadcaster Chris Schenkel.

The final week of balloting coincided with National Bowling Week which culminated Aug. 7 with the attempt to break the world record for most games bowled in a day. Those results will be announced later but the results of the celebrity voting were first reported in the Aug. 23 issue of OK! Magazine.

National Bowling Week returned to the forefront in 2006 after a 20-year absence. It is designed to increase awareness of bowling as a fun activity available to everyone. Bowling centers and United States Bowling Congress local associations work together to create special events to entice people to come to bowling centers.

More than 1,000 centers took part in 2009. National Bowling Week is a joint venture of BPAA, Strike Ten Entertainment, USBC, Professional Bowlers Association and International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association.

In what has all the components required to be one of the most engaging biopics in over ten years, Reese Witherspoon and ‘Julie and Julia’ director Nora Ephron are preparing a fictionalized documentary on the late, great Peggy Lee.

The story began  when Reese, 34, met Peggy’s granddaughter, Holly Foster-Wells. The two agreed to make Peggy’s life into a film, so Reese then contacted Marc Platt – who produced her in ‘Legally Blonde’ – and the two got to work.

And their first choice for a writer was divine inspiration – Nora Ephron. A huge fan of Ms. Lee, Nora is also among the most successful directors currently working and agreed to both write and direct the new flick.

Born in humble surroundings in North Dakota on May 26, 1920, Peggy Lee is one of the most influential jazz singers of all time. Her big break on radio at age 7 began a career that spanned seven decades and included work as a singer, songwriter, composer and actress. Nominated for no less than twelve Grammys, she won three, and also supplied several songs and four voices for Disney’s 1955 classic, ‘Lady & The Tramp.’

Diabetes and heart problems finally silenced the songbird on January 21, 2001. Peggy was just 81.

Fox Pictures will both produce and house the new movie, and Reese expects to start production as soon as she’s done her next picture – ‘Water for Elephants,’ which stars her, Christoph Waltz and Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, so Variety says.

The new biopic is expected to explore both Peggy’s professional and personal life. She was married and divorced no less than four times, and her list of musical associates reads like the ‘Who’s Who’ of Jazz, So there’s plenty to tell.

Megan Fox is wigging out!

In a new photo spread for Interview magazine, the 24-year-old actress is barely recognizable: wearing a retro bob wig, she poses suggestively with a lookalike mannequin. The article even notes that Fox asked to keep the doppelganger mannequin’s head as a souvenir at the end of the photo shoot.

“I don’t want to open my mouth or speak anymore,” Fox tells interviewer/actor Zach Galifianakis. “Everything I say becomes scandalous.”

Despite her ubiquitous presence (thanks to the first two “Transformers” films), Fox explains, “I’m one of those people who fiercely guards their privacy, so I hate doing interviews.”

She admits, in fact, to lying during interviews to protect herself.

“I have said some things to throw people off the scent of what’s really going on in my life. So I have sort of aided the media in printing these misconceptions, which I regret.”

She adds: “at this point, I’m not going to go out of my way to mislead people … that doesn’t really get me anywhere”

In the spirit of sharing, the impressively toned star tells Galifianakis of her weakness for “comfort food, soul food.” Despite her six-pack abs, the Tennessee-raised star says her ideal meal would be “collard greens and candied baby carrots and then have some biscuits and white gravy — and for dessert, probably blackberry cobbler.”

How is she in the kitchen? “I can do a pretty good chocolate-chip pancake. I can do a decent smoothie because when I was 15, I worked in a smoothie shop.”

Although Fox won’t be appearing in “Transformers 3,” she hits theaters next Friday in “Jonah Hex,” an action-adventure flick also starring Josh Brolin.

Former Detroit City Council president Gil Hill, who played a foul-mouthed, finger-pointing Detroit Police inspector in three “Beverly Hills Cop” movies, owes more than $20,000 in delinquent state taxes.

Records reviewed by The Detroit News say the state of Michigan filed a $20,150 lien against Hill last October with the Wayne County Register of Deeds. He owes income taxes assessed last year.

The 78-year-old Hill, who in 2001 narrowly lost to Kwame Kilpatrick in the mayor’s race, is a former Detroit police commander who had a 30-year career with the department. He appeared as salty Inspector Douglas Todd in the films.

Hill could not be immediately reached for comment and Hill’s spokeswoman told the News that she no longer represents him.
